This is the last 53 Classic Hatteras ever built!!!

That means the last serial # Classic ever made!

Thank you for looking at our 1988 53' Hatteras Classic newly listed for sale.  This is a two owner yacht in impeccable condition.  This yacht is quite possibly the nicest 53' Hatteras Classic currently on the market and has been professionally maintained and captain operated.  She is currently in fresh water on the Hudson River near Albany, NY, an easy 120 miles north of New York City.

This Classic's engines are 6v92TA models with under 2100 hours on them. They start instantly in less than one second and blow no smoke. (Thanks to the block heaters)  Teleflex KE-4 electronic engine/transmission controllers are located on the upper and lower helms and a third remote control on a 25' cord is also at the ready.  The Sidepower bow thruster is controlled at both stations and has a wireless remote control as well.  This boat will cruise all day at 19mph at a touch under 2100rpm.  Her propellers were removed and sent out to be professionally balanced and tuned.  This is a VERY smooth runner.

There is a 20kw Onan generator in a sound shield box under the galley that has less than 1900 hours and runs flawlessly and extremely quietly.

All 4 air conditioners run perfectly and ice cold with electronic controls for each unit. (Correction on 10/27/09. The bow ac/heat unit runs and produces cold and ht but for
about 10-15 minutes then cuts out the compressor.  The fan continues to run.  Doesn't seem like a serious issue.)

All carpeting was replaced 10€9 with tasteful Berber throughout.

Navigation is aided by a Furuno 4' array radar and a Garmin 3005C chartplotter.  Three vhf radios are also installed.

The interior is upgraded with newly upholstered kitchen seating and valences and vinyl floors in the galley and master head.  The salon valences were reupholstered summer 07 as well as beautiful parquet flooring installed around the lower helm.  The master stateroom valences were also reupholstered summer 07 as well as new wooden blinds installed on the side windows.  The woodwork throughout the boat is gorgeous.

The 11' Boston Whaler dingy has been revamped with it's entire interior refinished and installed on 10/27/09, down to raw wood and multi coated with Bristol finish and new steering cables.  Looks beautiful.  It runs strong with a 20hp Evinrude pushing it to 25mph.

This yacht is truly a classic in classic condition and worthy of traveling to see.  We welcome visits and encourage you to schedule an appointment so not to lose out.  If you wait until tomorrow someone else might not!  Don't miss out.
